Through Dickinson, Texas, Christian Pleasant was born and reared in Galveston, Texas. She pursued her undergraduate studies and veterinary medicine at the esteemed and historic Tuskegee University, where she graduated with a B.S. in Animal and Poultry Sciences and a DVM, respectively. Her areas of interest in her line of work are dermatology, small animal medicine, and exotic medicine. In 2019, Dr. Pleasant rebranded herself as "Pleasant-Reed" and began sharing her life's story with her incredible husband and daughter.

Dr. Pleasant's favorite pastimes are cooking and spoiling her horse and fur pets. She also loves to travel and spend time with her family.
